Jemima Yakubu

Jemima Yakubu is a third-year university student from Nigeria, pursuing a degree in International Law and Diplomacy. Growing up in the Northern region of Nigeria, an area afflicted by insurgency, Jemima is deeply committed to ensuring that young children have access to education even in conflict zones. Her passion for education is evident through her active involvement in her local community, where she engages with children and helps them with their studies. Jemima is also an avid reader, particularly drawn to African literature, which has shaped her understanding of her culture, struggles, and political dynamics.

Jemima's dedication extends beyond academics; she is passionate about bridging cultural divides and fostering greater understanding and appreciation for Nigeria's rich cultural heritage. She views the Youth Delegate Program as an invaluable opportunity to represent her community on an international platform, contribute to global conversations, and learn from diverse perspectives.
