Kile George

"Kile George is an Ojibwe Indigenous person from Nipissing First Nation in Northern Ontario, Canada, who uses their unique perspective as a non-binary individual to foster understanding and inclusivity. Kile is committed to advancing Indigenous rights and education, with a focus on addressing the ongoing impact of colonialism on Indigenous communities. Their dedication to social justice is evident in their efforts to advocate for better education about Indigenous peoples, both through their academic pursuits in Political Science and their role as a co-organizer of a Black Lives Matter solidarity march in North Bay, Ontario.

Kile has extensive experience in leadership and advocacy, having served as a Student Trustee and Indigenous Relations Co-Chair for the Ontario Student Trustees Association, and as a Jr. Policy Analyst for the Assembly of First Nations. Their work focuses on promoting Indigenous sovereignty, understanding of Indigenous history, and advancing First Nations' rights. Kile’s current studies in Digital Cinematography align with their passion for storytelling and using art as a medium for education and social change. Through the Youth Delegate Program, Kile aims to collaborate with global youth leaders to further their mission of creating a more inclusive and equitable society by taking action on critical issues such as climate change, social justice, and cultural preservation."
