Núria Edna Luísa Manhicana
Núria Edna is a 25-year-old political science graduate from Mozambique, passionately committed to advancing girls' education and women's empowerment. As a Woman Human Rights Defender, mentor, activist, and volunteer, she identifies closely with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 4 and 5, which focus on quality education and gender equality. Núria is dedicated to promoting education for disadvantaged and disabled girls, believing that educating girls and empowering women are crucial steps toward building a better world free from racism, cultural prejudice, and fear of diversity.
Núria is actively involved in mentoring programs for girls in secondary school, particularly those who have dropped out due to early pregnancy, motivating them to return to education and pursue their dreams. She also conducts lectures on human rights, educating students about their rights and responsibilities in building a better society. For Núria, activism is a vital tool for making a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it most.”
