Vaishak Hariharan

Vaishak Hariharan is a driven individual deeply committed to youth empowerment, sustainable development, and community engagement. His journey, shaped by his academic background at Heriot Watt University and professional experiences, reflects a strong dedication to social responsibility. As a fundraising assistant for the Wonsulting4WorldLiteracy project, Vaishak played a pivotal role in raising significant funds to support education for children in poverty, particularly in Colombia, and his efforts were recognized among the top three social impact projects by Wonsulting.

His involvement with AIESEC, a global youth NGO, has been transformative, allowing him to develop leadership skills while focusing on initiatives aligned with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Recently, Vaishak represented AIESEC International (UAE) at the ECOSOC Youth Forum 2024 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, further solidifying his commitment to advocating for youth voices in global discussions on sustainable development.

Vaishak's dedication extends beyond AIESEC, as he actively participates in community development and sustainability initiatives with organizations like Dubai Cares and Emirates Nature - WWF. He is also on track to become a global finance specialist at 180 Degrees Consulting, where he aims to cultivate a new generation of leaders focused on social and environmental impact.

Recently, Vaishak was recognized by His Highness Sheikh Rashid Bin Nasser Al Nuaimi for his significant contributions to volunteer work and sustainable development in the UAE. His diverse experiences and unwavering commitment to making a positive impact position him as a strong advocate for youth empowerment and global sustainability.”
