Fiona Koeckler

Fiona is currently an MA student in International Relations at King's College London, following her completion of a BA Double-Degree at Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich in March 2023. Her academic focus encompasses foreign, security, and economic policies, investment strategies, and geopolitics in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. She is particularly interested in how these topics intersect with conflicts, wars, and organized and financial crime.

Fiona has gained diverse work experience that has equipped her with skills relevant to various industries. She has interned in the Bavarian Parliament, at the Candid Foundation—a think-tank and project hub hybrid—and at Germany's most prominent magazine on the Middle East. At the Candid Foundation, she acquired project management and development experience, working in cooperation with the German Federal Foreign Office and the Berlin Senate. This included financial budgeting, workshop organization, and media and marketing initiatives. Fiona has also served as a research assistant at her former university and as a coordinator at UNA Germany, where she was part of a delegation to the UN's regional offices in Dakar, Senegal. Additionally, she is a delegate for UN Women UK at the CSW 68 this year.”
