Barbara Gosziniak Paiva
Bárbara Gosziniak is an Environmental Engineer from Belo Horizonte, MG, with a degree from UFOP. She is currently pursuing her master's and doctoral degrees in Materials Engineering, focusing on researching the effects of radiation for water disinfection and the development of optoelectronic polymeric devices.
Bárbara developed the first bottle that filters and disinfects water and is a co-author of the book Entrepreneurial Provocations 5: Business in Master's and Doctorate Courses. In 2021, she was the national champion of Red Bull Basement, and in 2022, she became the world champion of Storytelling in Turkey. Additionally, she won the Reasons to Believe Award in the Science and Technology category and received the Young Inspiration award from Zero Summit in 2023. She is also a TEDx speaker and was recognized in the Forbes Under 30 list in the Science and Education category.
One of Bárbara's primary goals is to develop new water treatment technologies to provide access to clean water for the 2.2 billion people who currently lack it.
