Abass Hamza

Abass Hamza is an Associate Fellow at The Royal Commonwealth Society and the Founder of HACEP-Ghana, a youth-led and serving organization dedicated to providing comprehensive and holistic access to accurate, reliable, and youth-friendly sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) information, education, and services to girls, women, and young people. With over 15 years of experience as a professional nurse and public health practitioner, Abass has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to breaking barriers to sexual and reproductive healthcare, rights, and justice.

Abass's work is driven by a passion for expanding access to SRHR across diverse populations and promoting health as a fundamental human right. His efforts have been instrumental in addressing the social determinants of health, ensuring that marginalized communities receive the care and support they need.

Currently, Abass is focused on promoting SRHR equity by training the next generation of young leaders and professional healthcare providers. Through mentorship, education, and service, he is equipping these future leaders with the skills and knowledge necessary to continue the fight for health equity and justice.

Abass Hamza's dedication to public health and his innovative approach to SRHR advocacy have made him a respected figure in the field, both in Ghana and internationally. His work with HACEP-Ghana and The Royal Commonwealth Society continues to inspire and empower young people to take charge of their health and rights.”
